The salary range for this position is $195,000 - $210,000 per year for employees hired in the Central Valley, California. This range reflects the anticipated hiring range for qualified candidates and may vary based on geographic location. Candidates hired in Southern California or Bay Area locations may be eligible for a higher starting salary due to regional labor market and cost-of-living considerations. Final compensation will be determined based on education, licensure, years of executive leadership experience, demonstrated expertise in residential services management, specialized credentials, internal equity, and market data for the position and work location.

📝 Position Summary

The Division Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Aspiranet's Residential Division across California. This executive leader is responsible for program excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, workforce development, quality outcomes, and sustainable growth across all residential operations.

As a member of Aspiranet's Senior Leadership Team, the Division Director partners with executive leaders, county agencies, community partners, and regulatory stakeholders to strengthen services, expand opportunities, and ensure the highest standards of care for children and youth served throughout the Residential Division.

 

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Residential Division in alignment with Aspiranet's mission, values, and organizational priorities.
  • Lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and expansion of residential programs and services throughout California.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities through RFPs, RFQs, strategic partnerships, grants, and new funding opportunities.
  • Serve as the executive representative with county agencies, state departments, licensing bodies, funders, and community stakeholders.
  • Provide executive oversight for residential operations to ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee divisional budgets, financial planning, forecasting, and long-term fiscal sustainability.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and performance data to support strategic decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to strengthen program outcomes and service excellence.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing Program Directors and Residential leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Quality Improvement, Information Technology, Facilities, and Compliance teams to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Support agency-wide strategic initiatives, accreditation efforts, organizational growth, and change management activities.

✅ Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Public Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible senior leadership experience overseeing complex residential, behavioral health, child welfare, or human services programs with multiple locations or regional operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing leadership teams.
  • Proven experience overseeing large operating budgets, financial planning, and fiscal accountability.
  • Experience with program development, strategic planning, organizational growth, and operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of licensing standards, accreditation requirements, contract compliance, and regulatory requirements for residential or human service programs.
  • Experience leading Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), performance management, risk management, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with county agencies, licensing bodies, healthcare organizations, educational partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel statewide.

💻 Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily on-site leadership role with regular travel to program locations throughout California.
  • Executive oversight of multiple residential programs and leadership teams.
  • Frequent engagement with county partners, licensing agencies, funders, and community stakeholders.
  • Regular participation in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and operational review meetings.
  • Use of computers and communication systems for extended periods.
