💰 Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $114,000.00 / annually 

 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $114,000 per year for employees hired in the Central Valley/Bay Area. The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate for candidates hired within the Bay Area region. 📝️ Position Summary 

As the Associate Division Director for IHBS, you will partner closely with the Division Director to provide leadership, direction, and operational support to programs throughout the division. 

You will help programs achieve their operational, budgetary, and practice objectives while supporting divisional initiatives, program quality, staff development, compliance, and continuous improvement. 

This role requires someone who can see both the big picture and the details, a leader who can move comfortably between strategic planning, program operations, leadership consultation, quality improvement, training, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. 

 

🔍 Key Responsibilities 

• Partner with the Core Division Director to support programs in achieving operational, budgetary, and practice objectives. 

• Help translate divisional strategic priorities into meaningful action across programs. 

• Provide consultation and support to local leadership teams regarding agency, county, state, contractual, licensing, and accreditation standards. 

• Support local management teams in identifying performance challenges and developing strategies for improvement. 

• Serve as the division lead when the Core Division Director is unavailable. 

• Champion Quality & Best Practices 

• Oversee divisional best-practice reviews and support programs in maintaining established practice standards. 

• Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement and help programs implement meaningful solutions. 

• Partner with Quality Management to develop procedures, resources, and training based on review findings and recommendations. 

• Review and approve incident reports and support appropriate follow-up when concerns arise. 

• Assist with oversight of Joint Commission, contractual, and licensing standards. 

• Develop Leaders & Build Strong Teams 

• Identify core staff competencies and help develop training that strengthens knowledge, leadership, and program performance. 

• Create and facilitate trainings related to program best practices. 

• Provide consultation and support to program leadership. 

• Facilitate workgroups and help teams move projects from discussion to implementation. 

• Promote collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning across the division. 

• Drive Strategic Projects & Growth 

• Develop, maintain, and execute divisional and agency-wide projects. 

• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes and help address barriers when they arise. 

• Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other growth opportunities. 

• Support divisional communications and implementation of agency initiatives. 

• Collaborate with other Associate Division Directors and agency departments on shared priorities and projects. 

✅ Qualifications 

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related behavioral health or human services field. 

• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience within behavioral health, child welfare, housing, or youth-serving programs. 

• Minimum of three (3) years of direct service experience working with IHBS or related populations. 

• Demonstrated experience leading multiple programs, operational initiatives, and cross-functional teams. 

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, youth development, housing services, behavioral health, and community-based programming. 

• Knowledge of licensing requirements, accreditation standards, contract compliance, and quality improvement practices. 

• Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills. 

• Ability to travel throughout California as business needs require. 

• Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. 

• Ability to successfully complete all required background clearances and employment requirements. 

• Must meet Community Care Licensing requirements, including fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, valid California Driver's License, insurance, acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle. 

• Experience overseeing statewide or regional IHBS programs. 

• Knowledge of California behavioral health and housing systems serving IHBS populations. 

• Experience with program development, contract implementation, and strategic planning. 

💻 Work Environment & Schedule 

• On-site presence required across California offices as needed. 

• Up to 20% travel throughout California. 

• Use of standard office equipment, computers, and communication systems for extended periods. 

• Frequent participation in meetings, project coordination, and operational planning activities. 

• Occasional lifting and carrying of office materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
