📝️ Position Summary

The Associate Division Director serves as a key member of the TAY Division leadership team, supporting the Division Director in overseeing statewide program operations, strategic growth, quality improvement initiatives, and organizational excellence.

 

This position works collaboratively with executive leadership, regional management teams, and community partners to ensure programs consistently deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services while meeting regulatory, contractual, and accreditation standards.

 

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who enjoys improving systems, mentoring leaders, driving innovation, and expanding services that positively impact transitional-aged youth.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Division Director to oversee daily operations across multiple Transitional Age Youth programs.
  • Support the implementation of divisional strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Assist with program planning, operational oversight, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and statewide best practice reviews.
  • Monitor compliance with licensing, contract requirements, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal regulations.
  • Support the development of new programs, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and business expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational standards that promote consistency across programs.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership development to management staff.
  • Review and approve critical incident reports while ensuring appropriate follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate agency-wide projects while monitoring timelines, deliverables, and implementation progress.
  • Collaborate with Quality Management, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, and Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and facilitate leadership trainings focused on best practices, compliance, and program excellence.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Represent Aspiranet with county partners, community stakeholders, licensing agencies, and funding organizations.
  • Serve as acting Division Director during periods of absence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the division.

âś… Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related behavioral health or human services field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience within behavioral health, child welfare, housing, or youth-serving programs.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct service experience working with Transitional Age Youth or related populations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple programs, operational initiatives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, youth development, housing services, behavioral health, and community-based programming.
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements, accreditation standards, contract compliance, and quality improvement practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout California as business needs require.
  • Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background clearances and employment requirements.
  • Must meet Community Care Licensing requirements, including fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, valid California Driver's License, insurance, acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Experience overseeing statewide or regional TAY programs.
  • Knowledge of California behavioral health and housing systems serving Transitional Age Youth.
  • Experience with program development, contract implementation, and strategic planning.
