📝 Position Summary

The HR Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with employee driving records, background clearances, credential verification, and workforce reporting.

This role partners with internal teams and external agencies to maintain accurate data, resolve compliance issues, and support audits and reporting requirements.

 

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with DMV, Community Care Licensing, CDSS, DOJ, and Joint Commission requirements
  • Monitor regulatory updates and maintain compliant processes

Background Checks & Clearances

  • Manage criminal background clearance processes and resolve delays
  • Maintain Guardian system records and fingerprinting documentation

DMV & Driving Records

  • Oversee DMV Pull Notice Program and employee driving compliance
  • Review records, investigate discrepancies, and issue notifications

Credentialing & Verification

  • Process degree verifications and conduct SSN/license validations
  • Review out-of-state candidate documentation

Reporting & Data Management

  • Maintain compliance records and support EEO-1 and CA Pay Data reporting
  • Assist with workforce reporting and audits

HR Operations Support

  • Process wage increases and support HR initiatives
  • Handle confidential information with discretion

 

✅ Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Compliance, licensing, or regulated environment experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (UKG a plus)
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage sensitive data

 

💻 Work Environment

Hybrid role with 2 days onsite in South San Francisco. Standard office environment.
