š Position Summary
The Youth Specialist is responsible for the care and supervision of children and youth placed at the Receiving Center. Major responsibilities include providing care and supervision of youth, completing youth screenings, implementing a youth's service and safety plans, working one-on-one with youth utilizing interventions in support of identified behaviors, medication administration, documentation, transporting youth, liaison with public health nurse and county social workers, and maintaining the center site
š Key Responsibilities
Youth Support
- Develop a professional and supportive relationship with youth, serve as a liaison with the nurse and social workers
- Report all incidents and concerns to supervisor
- Attend required meetings, supervisions, trainings, and maintain the center site
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete all required documentation in the database within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate, organized family files and instructional materials.
- Adhere to agency, funder, state, and federal confidentiality standards.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Attend team, collaborative, community, and all-staff meetings.
- Participate in required trainings and supervision.
- Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and professional boundaries.

Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in social work, psychology or related field with 1 year experience in a child welfare or behavioral health field with children with complex trauma and resultant challenging behaviors Or 2 full-time years' experience in a child welfare or behavioral health field with children with complex trauma and resultant challenging behaviors.
- Must meet all state-required conditions of employment, including:
- Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance
- TB/Health physical
- Valid driverās license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
