📝️ Position Summary

The Compliance Training Supervisor is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive onboarding, annual, and ongoing training for direct care staff in alignment with agency standards, contract requirements, and regulatory mandates. This role supports workforce readiness by building staff competency through multiple learning modalities, providing coaching and supervision, and ensuring compliance with documentation, training, and performance expectations. The position models trauma-responsive, strength-based, and culturally responsive practices and supports quality assurance efforts.

 

 

🔍Key Responsibilities

  • In consultation with the leadership team, develops, coordinates, and implements new hire and annual training that builds competency specific to behavioral health contract standards and contract compliance.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and introductory periods for new hires, including documentation review, coaching, feedback and learning effectiveness.
  • Review staff documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance; provide coaching, retraining, and corrective guidance as needed.
  • Model and reinforce trauma-responsive, strength-based, and culturally responsive practices within the therapeutic milieu.
  • Design, deliver, and support training using multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, coaching, job shadowing, and e-learning) both individual and groups.
  • Provide regular individual supervision, coaching, and mentorship to direct care staff in alignment with agency standards.
  • Participate in staff performance management, corrective action, and professional development planning.
  • Monitors training compliance and related administrative duties.
  • Ensure adherence to agency policies and external regulatory standards, including CCL, TJC, DHCS, and funder requirements.
  • Accurately document and report incidents, grievances, complaints, and program concerns in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a senior support during staffing challenges and provide direct service coverage when required by program design.
  • Prepare for and participate in supervision, team meetings, case formulation, and required trainings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • BA Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience providing Medi-Cal compliant documentation.
  • Experience providing related services in a youth setting desired.
  • Prior supervisory experience desired.
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with instructional design and development using training authoring tools.
  • Experience with administering e-learning and instructor led training content and programs.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment; i.e. fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report)
