Your Impact

The Clinician is responsible for leading a team approach in providing clinical and psychoeducation services to the referring individual and family in their home, school, or community based facility, in order to help to alleviate the crisis through hands on, in the moment approaches so that clients and their caregivers learn valuable skills to prevent out of home placement.

The Clinician is responsible for regulation compliance, referring agency coordination, collaboration, documentation and record maintenance. This position is responsible for overseeing clients in the Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) and Home Alternative to Residential Treatment (HART) programs.

 

Your Skills and Duties

  • Complete initial psycho- social assessments and updates
  • Create behavioral plans
  • Create safety plans
  • Crisis Management
  • Support Paraprofessionals in implementing interventions on behavioral plan
  • Facilitate monthly meeting with clients, families, and clinical team
  • Complete documentation in accordance to Medi-Cal, County, and Agency standards
  • Coordinate with client's primary therapist, county case managers, and other clinical team members
  • Parent coaching
  • Provide interventions for high risk youth and their caregivers (identify, teach, practice and implementation of skills to help clients regulate and manage the behaviors of concern)

Education and Work Experience

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree as defined in Health and Safety Code, Sections 1506 (e) (f)
  • Intern Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ACSW, AMFT, APCC or Registration as a Psychological Assistant with the Board of Health and Welfare
  • Meets all compliance requirements of federal, state, and county regulations by periodic sanction checks.
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record.
