YOUR OPPORTUNITY    

The Core Program Manager/ Head of Service is responsible for leading the clinical practice of the programs in a locale.  This includes setting and holding the practice work to the standards set by the agency.   Major responsibilities include the assessment of clinical practice, the oversight of contracted clinical supervision, the development and facilitation of trainings for direct service staff which result in improved practices. The HOS is the location’s expert in the evidence based practices utilized at the location.  The HOS is responsible for supporting the practice of the location by consistent review of practice via leading Best Practice Reviews, consistent clinical review of case records, support of Core Program Manager via consultation, signatory for licensed required documents and the identification and remediation of gaps in practice.  The HOS is also responsible to train and provide clinical leadership to the programs in the location, as well as manage oversight of incidents and grievances. 

Your Skills and Duties

  • Supervise the clinical aspects of the Intensive Home Base Services programs.
  • Will seek out training and resources to remain up-to-date on accepted evidence based practices and interventions,
  • Provide practice based trainings for staff.
  • Train staff and review documentation to ensure quality and accuracy of assessments and treatment plans,
  • Oversee staff’s engagement with clients
  • Supervise to staff interventions are connected to treatment plan.
  • Oversee contract clinical supervisor’s work. Monitor that Clinical Supervisors are doing their work in alignment with the agency’s clinical practice standards.
  • Consulting on high-risk situations
  • Regularly consult with the Associate Core Division Director for Intensive Home Base Services (ACDD) regarding high-risk or crisis situations.
  • Maintain regular communication with ACDD regarding the program’s quality of practice and training needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree as defined in the Health and Safety Code, Section 1506 (e) (f)
  • California Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or Psychologist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for a minimum of two years.
  • Meets the BBS qualifications to clinically supervise.
  • Two years’ supervisory/management experience in related field.
  • Two years’ experience providing direct clinical services to high risk youth in a related field/setting (community based, social services, behavioral health, school based, or residential setting.)
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record.
