Your Impact 

As part of a two and or three person team, the Support Counselor II (SCII) is responsible for implementing portions of the client treatment plan. Major responsibilities include; working one-on-one with youth and care giver in the home, school or community, providing interventions in support of identified behaviors and role modeling for the caregiver and other family members on how to work with youth.

Your Skills and Duties:

  • Meet regularly with youth and caregiver on new skill acquisition.
  • Develop and implement interventions related to treatment plan goals.
  • Communicate client progress to family and team.
  • Provide transportation when indicated.
  • Document work with youth and families.
  • Attend required meetings, training sessions, supervision, briefings and program activities.

 Education & Work Experience 

  • BA or BS degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends. 

Licensing and Certifications 

  • Meets all required conditions of employment as set forth by the agency, funder and or regulatory body.
