Full Time Sunday- Thursday 3:00PM-11:00PM shift.  (Sunday shift has shift differential of additional $1.00 per hour).

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Youth Care Professional I is responsible for providing care and supervision to youth in Aspiranet’s Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program in Turlock, California, to help them stabilize and achieve their goals.  The YCP I is part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) of Youth Care Professionals, Behavioral Health and Social Work professionals that works together to maintain a safe, stable, welcoming and trauma-informed environment in the cottage where youth reside.   Major responsibilities include engaging with youth individually and in groups as part of daily routines and rituals that include meals, school, and activities, and supporting therapeutic and crisis interventions.  This allows  you to do something you’re passionate about while gaining real-world experience in the social services arena.

 

YCP I- ($16.-$17.hour)             YCP II- ($17.-$18.hour)           YCP III- ($18.-$20.hour)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess any ONE of the following:
    • One year as a YCP Partner with demonstrated performance of essential duties.
    • A Bachelor of Art’s or Sciences Degree.
    • A valid child development teaching permit.
    • Have completed 12 semester units of early childhood education, adolescent development, or foster and kinship care education
    • A valid certificate as an alcohol and/or drug counselor
    • Have previously been employed as a staff or volunteer at a group home or short-term residential therapeutic center.
    • Have relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor or caregiver, or life experience with children who have experienced high levels of trauma, or other relevant experience as determined by the department.
  • Proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office.

Must meet all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a licensed community care facility, i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/health physical, and a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
