Youth Care Manager 

As a Youth Care Manager, you will use your passion for helping at-risk youth, your leadership skills, and your calming nature to take ownership of the strategic direction of a youth residential cottage. You will manage a dynamic setting, rich with like-minded professionals as you provide support, love, and care for troubled boys from across the state.  

Although your primary responsibility is to provide care for up to eight youth in a residential setting, your real job, the job you’ll remember, is to show these boys what it feels like to have somebody care about them. And in return, you’ll understand what it means to change the direction of another person’s life.

As a Youth Care Manager with Aspiranet in Turlock, California, you’ll oversee one of eight cottages and will supervise a team of thirteen Youth Care Professionals (YCPs). You will be helping to ensure boys and young men who haveexperienced much trauma receive love and care. This is the ideal position for someone with experience with at-risk youth or someone working on their Master’s degree in social work or psychology to take a leadership role.   

 

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Youth Care Manager is responsible for the creative leadership of one of Aspiranet’s residential cottages in Turlock, California.  You will supervise, protect and care for 6-8 youth as well as lead the YCP team.   

This position will take creativity and drive to go from one small fire to another and still have the energy to shape the strategic direction of the cottage.  There is a fair bit of administration but the bulk of your time will be spent working directly with the youth in your cottage.  You will be measured by the successful outcomes for the boys in your care as well as the YCP team you supervise.  You will be directly responsible for maintaining a sense of calm and order with a group of boys that often has not had either in their lives.  

You will work with a team of professionals, including therapists and psychiatrists, who share your dedication to making a difference in kids’ lives.  You will coordinate plan development and team dynamics that will help you reach your career goals.
